Aug 1 | Appreciating Aged Tea
Aug 1, 4pm (2 hours)
Taste, compare & recognise genuine value.
Appreciating Aged Tea is a focused comparative tasting workshop for tea drinkers who want to understand what really creates value in aged tea. Using Pu'er and Liu Bao as our main references, we will taste and compare different teas while exploring how raw material, processing, time and storage shape the final cup.
We will look at how ageing changes sweetness, smoothness, aroma, texture and depth, how storage environment affects development, and why age alone does not guarantee quality. The workshop also explores practical questions around vintage claims, provenance, authenticity and buying aged tea with greater confidence.
This is not a beginner's introduction to tea or brewing. It is a guided tasting experience for drinkers who want to taste the differences for themselves, understand what they are paying for, and appreciate aged tea beyond the year printed on the label.
